I just didn't realize I would live to be this old!

Now I'm forty nine and just when did that happen? Oh yes, it was last Sunday, I guess I'm really not all that old!

Having lived this long and having no real regrets, knowing I'm not the same person I used to be. Realizing I've done the best I could, the choices I made were the best options for me at the time I made them. Second guessing the choices I made and the things I did isn't of value. Admitting there is nothing I can do now that could change the past and having no plan to try rewriting my history. It seems life is about learning as you live it, growing into the person you think you should be takes time and it's painful at times. Believing that everything will work out the way it's supposed to in the end.

Looking back helps me see how far I've come and how far I still need to go, to be the person I want to be. Some life lessons take longer to learn, it's a good thing I have a lifetime to learn.

Happy Belated Birthday!
One nice thing about getting older is becoming mellow.

It is so nice to look back and also look forward to changing. Happy 49th, I thought the same at 51!

I came to you via Meandering and am glad I did. I do have some regrets, but they are mostly for the chances I let slip by. And I fail on a daily basis, but don't let that stop me. I have decided that I want a life not an existence and I won't let MS get in the way. Or not often, and not for long.

Thanks for the kind words Kim changing=growth that is my hope. The Elephant's child I'm glad you came by. Please try not to judge your self to harshly. I believe we all do the best we can with the hand that life has dealt us and I think it very hard to do better then our best!

Hi Mary, interesting reflections. I do have some regrets but then when I think of them I remember all the things we have done or things that have happened to us add to the person we are today and I like who I am now so in that sense I shouldn't regret things in my past. As you say "believing that everything will work they way it's suppose to the end". Thank you as well for your comment on my blog. I'm not sure how the comment thing works I have posted a thank you on my site but I haven't had a chance to take a look at your site so thought this would be a good opportunity to and also to say thank you
